At Vaken's persuasion, Thor let the hammer slide to the ground as a peaceful sign, though he still did not trust the creature. "Much gratitude for the greeting.... but what realm is this?" Thor inquired of the dragon. Where in the nine am I?... he thought. "We mean you no ill will, we are just passing travelers!" he boomed, unwittingly raised his voice even louder than normal. "Are there settlements on this realm, of men, giants? Somewhere we could quench our thirst? Who is this Summer of which you speak?"
He would have a tale to tell when he returned to Asgard. If he could return to Asgard, no telling if Heimdall could see him. Surely he could.

Oh Kale, Thor was so loud, Vaken thought, grimacing and glaring at Thor as he shouted at the huge creature up above them. He waited for Thor's booming speech to stop, because there was no chance he'd be heard over that barbarian oaf. And while Thor had already asked a few of the questions that Vaken had wanted to ask, he still had a few of his own.
This massive dragon near them had called them...what had he called them? Dreamers? And he had called...what was this place? Eden? Vaken had never heard of such a place before. That confirmed the little suspicion dwelling in the back of his mind. It certainly wasn't anywhere on Eloran. So he had been transported. Somehow.
“Where are we?” Vaken shouted up at the dragon. His voice was much less suited to shouting than Thor's, and the shouts were rather weak, especially compared to Thor's. “What has happened to us? Why are we here?”

Oh dear, there was a size difference wasn't there. He tapped a crystal claw along the ground for a few moments before he had an idea to make communication easier. Earth's form shuddered before appearing to shrink. The shrinking stopped when he reached the size of many of his peers. Large, but certainly not massive as before. "Sorry about that. Perhaps this will make speaking easier." "All questions will be answered. There are settlements on this world. Though no giants, I'm afraid. Those exist only in fairy tales to frighten the younglings into behaving." And Earth chuckled lightly before clearing his throat. "Summer is the Son of my brother Fire. He's in charge of the present season." "Yes, there are places where you may drink." And then the smaller of the two asked questions as well. Earth's muzzle became a kind, smile. "You are on Eden. You might say you are stuck in a dream when you are here. Hence we have taken to calling those in your position 'Dreamwalkers' or 'Dreamers'. ...We're not exactly sure how or why those who come here are chosen." Earth admitted. "But don't let such mysteries get you down! Merriment is to be had."

"Merriment, you say?" Thor smiled and gave Vaken a slap on the shoulder. So it was a dream after all."So the great dragons of this realm control the seasons?" he inquired of the now not-so-massive creature, who, as he now noticed, seemed to be made of the very stuff of the land itself. "Ah, could you direct us to a tavern, or even a spring of which we could drink our fill?" His voice lowered itself to a normal tone. "A way off of the plain perhaps? No giants, that is a relief. Are the citizens of this... Eden friendly to newcomers?"
He picked Mjolnir up from the dirt, wiping the smudges off roughly with one calloused thumb from where it had sunk into the mire. A drink! He could drink the Kerlaugar dry.

Vaken was about to say something in reply to everything that was going on, but suddenly he felt something on the back of his shoulder that sent him stumbling a couple of steps forward. He hissed in reflex, and glared up at Thor before getting back steadily on his feet. However, he really didn't want to have anything to do with Thor at this point, at least not without a drink or two in him. Instead, he focused his attention on the massive dragon-like golem of rock and earth that was standing above him.
However, he perked up when he realized that there would be somewhere they could get alcohol nearby. “Merriment, you say?” he said, with a hint of a grin on his face. “Then damn everything else,” he said, looking at Thor, who seemed to be just as interested in the prospect of drinks as he was. “How can we get out of here?” Vaken said, looking at the dragon in front of him.

The dragon laughed. "Four of us control the seasons. Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter. Aye, it is almost time for Summer to pass things along to Autumn and we hope it's a smooth transition." Earth explained to the pair of Dreamers. "But you are looking for Merriment. Well stick around for the Mid-Autumn festival. 'Tis the time of the Harvest and the young ones of the younger races wear costumes and have all sort of merrymaking this time of year. "However, if you are looking for more...immediate results, there is a tavern not too far from here. And a waystation for travelers. Aye, the owner of said establishment is a stubborn individual for making his business around here. However, I suggest you make your way to Thunderfalls City. 'Tis where all the Dreamers make their way to learn about Eden. Knowledge can explain far better than I can."

"Show us the direction of this station of the way! And the City of Thundering Falls!" Thor inquired of the dragon-golem. "How will we know this Knowledge of whom you speak? Another dragon?" He twirled his hammer, sending a gust of air in Vaken's direction; his spirits much lifted at the prospect of drink, food, and company. "This place, how far is it traveling by foot?"

For Kale's sake, did this man never stop shouting? Vaken swore he was going to go deaf from just being next to him, and his hearing was already bad enough without this. He was definitely going to need a drink or three once they finally reached civilization. The gust of wind that might have been purposefully sent in his direction, though, that put him over the edge. Almost by instinct, Vaken hissed at Thor, a deep, dangerous sound, bearing a mouth full of sharp teeth.
It had been a reflex, and an embarrassing one at that, but it didn't make Vaken any less upset. His face reddened slightly, and he folded both of his arms over his chest, trying to avoid making eye contact with Thor—a kind of animalistic display like that was...improper, to say the least, even given the situation that they were in.
Though he was slightly intrigued. He had simply thought this man a giant, loud oaf. But there was some indication that he had some sort of powers. Aerokinetics, at least. It was a rather uncommon power among Hali Kra, at least in the Second Empire. He had only met a few who had the power, and most of them were small, delicate birds. Easily broken.
So unlike the man who was standing in front of him now.
When he finally managed to get over his own shame, he looked back at Thor and back at the rock-dragon-thing that was calling itself “Earth”.
“Yes,” Vaken said, nodding in agreement. “How long is it going to take us to get there? What are we going to find when we get there? Yirral...who are we going to find when we get there? What do we need to be wary of?”
Truth be told, Vaken wanted nothing more to do with Thor. However, if they were venturing into the unfriendly territory, the last thing that Vaken wanted was to get in some sort of altercation, all on his own, on some strange, Kale-forsaken place.

"Thunderfall City is the grandest settlement on Eden. You might even say it is our Capital City. The Library there will tell you everything. It should not take long for you to reach it by hippogriff. A day's flight maybe." And the dragon's form shifted once more into that of a man. He looked like one might call a barbarian. "But first, libations, I will accompany you." The man whistled which was soon answered by three birdlike screeches. A few moments later, a trio of winged beasts landed. Their front feet and head were that of birds as was their wings. But their back ends were more like horses. "These will make the journey that much quicker. But you have to be careful. Just...watch what I do." The dragon-man approached one of the creatures and bowed to it. The hippogriff deliberated before lowering its head in turn. "You have to show respect else they hold grudges. And you do not want a hippogriff with a grudge." Earth stated as he pulled himself onto the creature's back.

Thor drew back a bit as Vaken bared a rather inhuman set of teeth and hissed like.. well, some sort of lizard. He furrowed his eyebrows, blinking as he watched the exchange between Vaken and the dragon. The dragon called forth three bird-beasts, and Thor was intrigued. Bird horses? They would certainly do, they seemed to be fine animals. He turned to Vaken, his voice lowered a little, before turning his attentions to the hippogriff. "I am sorry, friend. Did I offend you?" He moved toward the creature, wondering if bowing was really necessary, but figured he should go along anyway. He reached a hand out to the creature, then drew back. Bow first. He clasped his mighty fists together and bowed his head as a token of respect, glancing up at the beast. He could not quite tell if it accepted said token, it was still glaring at him, seemingly.
