Mermaids

Unlike the fabled half human half fish creatures we know on Earth, on Eden the Mermaids are half human and half fish but in a different way. They have webbed fingers and toes when in shallow water. It is in deep water that their legs fuse together into a tail for ease of swimming.

There have been no male creatures of the species sighted. It is speculated that they seduce males of other species to create their offspring. The 'father' is then eaten to provide nutrients for the child.

They have poisonous spines on their forearms[not pictured] and their bite is poisonous as well.

They make their home in Shipwreck Ocean. The Pirates are wary of these creatures and don't enter the water lightly.
