IC Stuff:
Name: Fayt Leingod
Alias/Nickname: None (though Albel affectionately refers to him as "Fool")
Age: 19
Fandom: Star Ocean 3: Till The End of Time
Appearance:
Strengths: Fayt is skilled with a sword, a skill honed by using live action role playing game simulators on his home planet, then by his time traveling other planets. In addition to his adept use of swords, he holds what is called the "Destruction Gene" within his DNA, which allows him to call upon ethereal forces in the form of celestial beam that can destroy almost anything it touches.
While on Earth, he was a college student studying Engineering and Symbology (magic). Thus he is knowledgeable in machinery building and repair, as well as the ways of minor magic (healing and elemental spells, his biggest feat being a short distance teleportation spell)
Weaknesses: Before he is a warrior, Fayt is just an Earth kid. He would prefer not to fight another person if there is a violence-free alternative. His own abilities of Destruction frighten him, as he does not have full control over them. If his emotions get too out of hand, he can inadvertently use his Destruction powers. These abilities also take a lot of strength from him, sometimes leaving him unconscious for days at a time, so uses them only in cases where he has no other choice.
While gifted, Fayt is more inclined to have fun than to work hard. He is often known for skipping classes to play video games and often spends family vacations in RPG simulators. He is also known to be too trusting and sometimes remarkably naive.
History: Fayt Leingod was born on Earth's Lunar Surface Base (aka Moonbase) to Robert and Ryoko Leingod in the year SD 753. Both scientists, they were part of an expedition team that studied an outlying planet "Styx" that held a transport gate. This gate was discovered to lead not only to other worlds, but given the right requirements, could transcend to the Fourth Dimension.
The Fourth Dimension, to their shock, was comprised of beings who created the Third Dimension, which to them, is known as The Eternal Sphere, an MMORPG that these beings could enter physically and live out their fantasy lives. This also meant that their entire existence was merely coding to the 4D beings.
While their, they met "The Creator", whom boasted that the beings of the Third Dimension were becoming too intelligent and would eventually need to be "Deleted" so they could start the game again. Fearing what could happen with their lives if they were deleted, the scientists genetically altered three children inutero, giving them the ability to overcome these beings and hopefully make their dimension independent from the other. The Connection Gene was given to Sophia Esteed, daughter of one of the research team's couples, allowing her to bridge the gap between the dimensions. The Alteration Gene was given to Maria Traydor, half-sister of Fayt (via mother, birth name Maria Leingod), which could alter the "coding" of their dimension. The final ability, the Destruction Gene, was given to Fayt himself, giving him the ability to destroy anything, even beings from outside their dimension.
Fayt lived a normal life, growing up on Earth with his mother and father. During his first year of college, his family took a trip to one of the many "Vacation Planets" available to the populous. While their, the planet was attacked by a group of hostile alien forces known as the Vendeen whom had caught wind of the experiments conducted by the exploration team. Their goal was to capture the three youths and use them to their gain for interplanetary domination. Fortunately, he and the rest of the vacationers were able to escape, but Fayt's escape pod became separated from the rest.
After series of events, he met with a member of a anti-federation rebel group known as Quark, whom was unknowingly run by his half-sister Maria. While attempting to return to their group's base, their ship was shot down by Vendeen forces and forced to crash land on an underdeveloped planet. This planet, known as Elicoor II (with the equivalent of late 14th/Early 15th century Earth over much of the planet), was in the midst of a continent-wide war. Over the course of the next few months, Fayt and his companions were caught in the middle of said war, meeting more allies along the way, including his current lover, Albel Nox.
While on Elicoor II, the Vendeen attacked again during a decisive conflict between the two warring kingdoms. It was then that Fayt found out about his abilities of destruction, when his emotions ran awry and he inadvertently destroyed an entire Vendeen mothership before collapsing from the strain.
Things accelerated quickly for the group, with the three destined children reuniting to venture into the Fourth Dimension and hopefully liberate the 3D beings. They were able to meet The Creator and create a permanent connection between the Third and Fourth dimensions. While being unable to destroy The Creator, they were able to knock him down a peg, and put more sympathetic people in power.
With their world no longer in danger, Fayt was able to relax finally. But after so much happening, he found returning to normal college life all but impossible. Instead, he chose to live life as if he was in an RPG, exploring the planets with his allies from Quark, and the ones made on Elicoor II.
With the interdimensional gate still intact, Fayt is able to return to the Fourth Dimension and enter other "spheres", galaxies and planets, at will. This is how he is able to travel to this world.
Personality: Fayt is the adventurous sort, but also acts as the voice of reason around his friends and allies. While young, he is an intelligent and skilled fighter, though more interested in the "fun" of a battle. His words are his vow, and once he makes a promise, he will do everything he can to fulfill it. This has caused him a lot of heartache in the past. His willingness to help makes him easily swayed to a cause so long as it sounds righteous. If illogical, he will question it. Fayt fears little so long as it can be explained, fanciful or otherwise.
While he does his best to keep a positive attitude, the knowledge that he was born a weapon is a great burden to him. He his aware that even his close friends hold a certain sense of fear of him (or in Albel's case, a sense of sexual fascination), waiting for him to snap and kill them all. This weighs heavily on him, and he sometimes loses sleep from nightmarish memories of what he has seen and the people he failed to save.
In spite of this, Fayt carries the facade of a content teenager, preferring to keep his fears bottled up and not worry his friends.

Excerpt from my DSRK Fic
To this day Narumi would defend that he was, in fact, a heterosexual man. He liked women, women with long hair, nice legs, and plentiful bosoms. He had many women in the past come to his bed, and many leave satisfied. He had been known as a lady killer, a Casanova, the love-em-and-leave-em type even. The man was physically fit, intelligent, had his own business and living space, and if he played his cards right, lots of money (though that last one was debatable). If he wanted to, and had the time, there would likely be many more to come and go. Yet, his mind would point out, he had not had any since that rainy day where he had brought home what he could easily describe as an injured stray cat. And this fact, along with the evidence stacking up against his “heterosexual male” case, was causing him to have something of a mid-life crisis in his office for a good five days.
Days went by and all Narumi could think about was Raidou. While overall he had enjoyed their little outing (he was still refusing to refer to it as a date), he couldn’t help but feel unnerved by his apparent motivation, or rather the vagueness of said motivation. He kept telling himself that he just wanted to help, to be the good Samaritan and give Raidou a bit of hope in this dog-eat-dog world. But the more he thought about it, the more that ideal became clouded. Was it so he could be Raidou’s friend? Or was the more sinister side of him trying to get something else out of the relationship? Raidou was so innocent, naïve, and very impressionable. It would only take a little bit of a push to get him to...
If he was spiraling before, he was nose-diving into troubled waters now.
Anything else:
Due to his Destruction Gene, Fayt has glowing runes across his body (www.youtube.com/watch?v=gpziRCtcQgM). These are invisible to the naked eye, with the exception of power magic users or those able to see runes.
Fayt wears glasses to read.
