After what seemed like an eternity drifting along in space, the small Intelligence Dampening Sphere drifted into the gravitational field of a planet not unlike the planet he left really. Vast blue oceans and continents and all that. However, there was something absent from what Wheatley saw from space.
There were no cities. Or at least cities as the humans had built. No sprawling urban centers. There seemed one gleaming metropolis at least and several smaller towns.
He always wondered what it was like to experience re-entry.
Wheatley drifted into the atmosphere of the planet, quite sure that he wouldn't make it. A metal ball burning up in the atmosphere of a strange planet.
"Oh, this is going to hurt. I know it." But then again, getting crushed by HER, having to endure a core transfer, the restraining bolt to not aid the test subjects.
"Okay, deep breath. Wheatley. Lot of good it'll do you. You don't have any lungs." A whistling sound soon became audible as a patch of lush green rainforest rushed up to meet him and then *WHAM*...
Crash landing.
"Well that wasn't so terrible. But there's the fact I cannot move and there is no one around...which means I'm talking to myself." Oh well, it reminded him of talking to her really. He'd never really asked for her name and she never volunteered it. Looking back, he realized he spent most of his time talking at her. The brain damage from being in suspension for so long must have damaged her ability to speak.
Wheatley sighed audibly.
"Hello? Anyone there? Hm...maybe Spanish. Hola, Amigo. Donde est--No. This isn't Earth. Why would I think they'd be speaking Earth languages?"
He'd made a lot of dumb choices.
But he was not a moron.
