Name: Jergen Voller
Alias/Nickname: Too many aliases to list.
Age: Looks about late 20s or early 30s
Fandom: The Last Drop /horror AU
Appearance:
*First image is Jergen during the WW2 era. Second image is him present day. He has his present day image but I thought the WW2 era image would be useful when reading his history.
Strengths: Jergen is a wereLeopard. Specifically, a snow leopard. He’s a bit different from your classic werebeast in the terms of his transformation. He transforms the day before the full moon and stays in that form until the night following. In the leopard form, he’s rather large, estimating about 3-4 feet at the shoulder. Roughly compared to a Bengal tiger. Outside of the leopard form, he’s quite strong and has increased stamina.
Weaknesses: Unfortunately, Jergen is not the brightest crayon in the box. He tends to not think things through before acting. However, things somehow manage to work out for him, if only by the skin of his teeth. The leopard is almost always hungry.
History: Jergen’s childhood was relatively uneventful. He moved from Switzerland to Germany just down the street from a boy about his age named Klaus Kessler. Jergen practically became adopted into the family and he did after Jergen’s father was killed.
When they came of proper age, Kessler entered into the SS and Jergen enlisted into the Wermacht. An unfortunate incident meant to be private between them led to Jergen being sent to the Eastern Front. He took it as an act of betrayal that festered in him. Even when his unit was captured by the Russians.
Jergen spoke little. Even as the ignorant Communists branded him with the insignia of his once comrade’s unit. The Totenkampf skull pressed to the inside of his wrists. The Iron Cross first class pressed into his right side. He lost count nor did he imagine that these insignia had been taken off his countrymen.
In the cells, he met a man named Hans Beck. Together with Beck and a farmhand named Max. The three made their escape and they would have made it but at the outer fringes of the forest. Jergen was beset upon by a Russian soldier in full uniform. However, the Russian, rather than killing Jergen sank his teeth into his shoulder. Something about those teeth didn’t seem completely human at the time.
A gunshot rang out and Jergen was pulled to his feet by Beck. Eventually, the three made it back to Germany but at the worst possible time.
The Americans were invading. [Later he would find out it was called Operation Market Garden.] He found a sniveling rat that had sold he and Kessler out in the first place. The rat making a snarky comment about Kessler being an ‘old friend’ and all.
Jergen had not yet had his first transformation. He did not understand his quick temper and his desire to rip out Gustav’s throat. He made his way to the farm where Max had situated himself, waiting for him and Beck. Where Kessler had hidden the treasure that was rightfully his to hold.
He and Kessler eventually had their confrontation. Jergen’s mind clouded by the imminent transformation. However, he was aware enough to feel the butt of Kessler’s pistol hitting him in the head repeatedly. Dazed certainly, he didn’t make a move when Kessler descended below after one of the English soldiers.
He and Beck made their way onto the plane with the treasure still in their American uniforms. [Jergen could pass a, rather bad, but passable, accent from listening to American radio.] And it would have worked yet the English had their suspicions. A confrontation took place but Jergen talked his way into letting them have the treasure in exchange for their lives.
He did not miss the explosion that took Kessler with it. Or so he thought.
He had his first transformation. Three days as a phantom large cat that roamed the Swiss countryside. The cat feasted on dogs and cats and livestock. But the cat was never found no matter how much the Swiss people hunted for it and the growing reward on its head.
Some time later, he and Hans broke into an art museum in Switzerland and stole back much of the treasure. There was one missing that Jergen desperately wanted. A painting of a smiling woman that Klaus had admired. He found that one later on and won it off an American in a game of cards.
Sometime with tensions of the Cold War, he and Kessler met again. Jergen alarmed by the change in his comrade. Kessler had suffered horribly in the explosion. Yet Jergen found he held no animosity and begun caring for his comrade.
He discovered, rather after the fact, that his comrade had become a werewolf. Their animal sides would tear each other apart if they met face to face. So the two would lock themselves away when it came time. But it was something they were willing to work with.
They lived like this until the present time. Kessler’s injuries improved. The two always assumed different identities and lives whenever they judged they had stayed in one place too long. One Christmas day, Jergen gifted Kessler the painting he had kept all those years. Jergen had sold the rest back to the museum for them to live comfortably.
When not in danger from their animal sides, the pair lived rather comfortably. Until Eden decided to bring Jergen to her.
Personality: As said earlier, Jergen is not the brightest crayon in the box. Thinking ahead is usually something Kessler does. Or when he was on the run with Beck, Beck would do the thinking. Jergen, as with all cats, does tend to be lazy. However, it is the laziness of an apex predator. He’s rather slow to anger unless you insult Kessler or someone else he considers a friend.
Sample post: [Anything from anywhere.]
Anything else: He’s not a Nazi. The Wermacht are Germany’s regular army and a lot of them were against a lot of Hitler’s ideas. To give you an idea: Rommel was Wermacht[Panzer Division] and Himmler was SS[SchutzStaffel].
