IC Stuff:
Name: Vincent Valentine
Alias/Nickname: Ex-TURK
Age: early 60s
Fandom: Final Fantasy VII
Appearance:
Strengths: Vincent is one of the best marksmen ever to come out of ShinRa and among the TURKs he is legend for his skill. He is also able to shapeshift into various monsters depending on his health + danger level. Due to this, he is long lived.
Weaknesses: Vincent has a crippling fear of getting close to anyone. Afraid to open up his heart to another else they will leave him again. Thus he is relunctant to approach people or to consider them friends because he knows they will die while he won’t.
History: It is not known what happened to his mother but the relationship between Vincent and his father Grimore soured somewhere. He made the decision to enlist as a TURK for ShinRa Inc and left for Midgard.
Due to his immaculate service record, Vincent was assigned as a bodyguard to Professor Hojo and his assistant, Lucrezia Crescent. At first, Vincent remained distant and uninvolved in their lives but then it was Lucrezia who made the effort to chip away at his exterior and Vincent allowed it. Eventually falling in love with the woman.
When Vincent found out Lucrezia was pregnant and that Hojo was experimenting on the fetus that was Sephiroth, he was horrified and confronted the doctor when Lucrezia refused. Hojo killed Vincent that day but his story would not end that day. Hojo decided to take the TURK as an experiment but found that the man remained comatose. For all effects a corpse.
Until Lucrezia introduced the Chaos gene into his system, then Vincent became a mad snarling beast tamed only by the presence of the protomateria. Deciding that Vincent was too dangerous, Lucrezia placed him into a coffin with a stasis field. To be forgotten about.
Until a young man named Cloud woke him up to save the planet from Lucrezia’s son, Sephiroth. At first Vincent refused but Sephiroth was his chance at redemption.
Vincent remained apart but would occasionally offer insight where it was needed. And after Sephiroth’s defeat, he retreated to the Ancient City. He came upon Tseng and Elena one day and treated their wounds as best he could. Then he started observing three young men with silver hair and researching the disease called Geostigma.
He arrived in Edge when Bahamut SIN appeared to aid Cloud once again. But once it came to confront post reunion Kadaj wearing Sephiroth’s skin, Vincent decided that it was Cloud’s fight, not theirs.
His fight would come soon enough. Against the remains of Deep Ground, led by Weiss the Immaculate. He aided Reeve Tseuti and the WRO in fighting them but it would ultimately come to him to defeat the Tsviets. They were planning on using the untainted people, those who hadn’t had geostigma, to bring forth Omega WEAPON.
It took Vincent as Chaos sacrificing himself to defeat the creature and end the threat. But again, his story was not over.
Eden had other plans.
On Eden, he has been here about a year, staying with Life and acclimating to the Planet. He and the white dragon are rarely apart. Vincent aided in the battle that would contain Death.
Personality: Vincent is two sides of the same coin in one being. On the one hand he is calm and collected, bordering on stoic. But on the other hand, in the midst of certain battles, he is a blood hungry beast. He is not without emotions as mentions of Lucrezia and Sephiroth will incite mostly sorrow and regret in him. However, he hides it well. Preferring to suffer in solitude.
Sample post: [Anything from anywhere.]
Anything else: I play Vincent with more an extreme vampire edge to him. I realize he is not so within canon. He is prone to giving into his bloodlust almost like a Hellsing vampire. On Eden, he has fully embraced his vampiric nature. He cannot create vampires however nor would he desire to.
